Former White House Strategist Joe Reinstein Joins Performics Management Team

Joe Reinstein, Performics Executive Vice President of Integrated Services

Newly created position, Executive Vice President of Integrated Services, will oversee agency’s planning, business development and marketing functions

Performics, the full service performance marketing network within ZenithOptimedia, has hired Joe Reinstein, former senior strategist within the Obama administration. As executive vice president of integrated services, Reinstein will oversee the agency’s pivotal planning & insights, business development and marketing practices and will report into Scott Shamberg, Performics’ U.S. president.

Reinstein’s political background is a departure from the norm in an industry where agencies tend to hire from within the space. Yet it is only one captivating component of his nearly 30-year career spent building brands for consumer products, multi-nationals, start-ups, government and social causes.

Scott Shamberg remarks, “Joe’s work for the campaign is both exciting and relevant to Performics because it concentrated on activating intent for the greater good of the community. I have every confidence that Joe will be a visionary force within our organization as we uncover consumer intent to drive brand results for our clients.”

During his tenure at the White House, Reinstein created events to support initiatives for the President and First Lady, in turn creating compelling content for the administration’s digital platforms. As director of surrogates at Obama for America, his team produced influencer content that leveraged powerful analytics to create the largest grassroots online community in history.

Prior to 2009, Reinstein managed integrated advertising campaigns for some of America’s most iconic brands. He helped launch Aquafina to become the number one brand of bottled water in the U.S., and managed all of BBDO’s U.S. Wrigley business driving record sales and profits. Reinstein also sat brand-side as vice president of marketing at Medline Industries, an $8 billion healthcare manufacturer.

This unique blend of brand and digital savvy has Reinstein primed to help drive Performics’ rapid growth and industry leadership.

Reinstein adds, “Within days of joining Performics, it was palpable that this is a key moment-in-time for our global network. Insight-driven performance planning and access to an abundance of data is a powerful combination. As the steward of brand and integration, I have a true opportunity to amplify our impact on current and future clients across the entire spectrum of performance marketing.”
