Background
Redbox understands that its current customers are its best advocates. It also knows the growing social media marketplace is a great venue for engaging with customers. The company conducted a Facebook fan drive in early 2010 to better understand engagement and redemption rates, cost of fan acquisitions and other important metrics. After a successful test, Redbox teamed with Performics to help craft and implement a large-scale summer promotion.

Objective
Active on Facebook since 2009, Redbox sought to build a larger social media fan base and increase online customer engagement through a special 2010 summer promotion.
