Performics’ Google Mobile Search Activity 2010 Holiday

Mobile paid search has played a significant role in this holiday shopping season.  For instance, Black Friday marked the single strongest day of mobile searching and clicking ever for Performics’ clients.  Thanksgiving also posted strong mobile activity, in line with desktop holiday search trends.  However, Cyber Monday—the reported single strongest ecommerce day ever (>$1B)—was decidedly quieter for mobile.  This is because the majority of Cyber Monday searchers made purchases between the hours of 9AM and 10AM, presumably on their desktop devices at work.  Below, we detail mobile search impressions, clicks and CTRs during the peak holiday shopping days:
