Google Rolls Out Multisearch

Google launched a new way to search using both text and images called multisearch. This new feature allows users to refine their image search with Google Lens by adding a text query to their image search. To use multisearch, users need to open the Google app, tap the Lens camera icon, search by screenshot or take a photo, and swipe up and tap the “+ Add to your search” button to add text. Google Announces SpamBrain

SpamBrain is the name of Google’s new system that is AI-Based, and focused on preventing spam. This was launched initially in 2018, and although it was referenced previously, this is the first time Google is publicly speaking about SpamBrain. Google is taking on fighting spam to keep the search results high quality, and they will continue to come up with new improvements on how to block those sites from ranking.

Google Adds Options to Remove Personal Information

Google has added new options to remove personal information from search results, and in this expansion people are able to request the removal of personal information, such as email address, phone numbers, and physical addresses. You are also able to remove information that may pose a risk for identity theft, such as confidential log-in credentials, when it appears in search results. The removal will not delete the information off the Internet, and if that’s what you want, then you’d have to contact the hosting site directly.

Local SEO – Google Confirms In-store Availability as Ranking Factor

Google has updated the previous article on how to improve local ranking on Google. In that, they’ve confirmed that adding products that are in stock in the “in-store availability” will help improve organic ranking. Business owners can do this by using Pointy, a tool free of charge to help attract customers into the brick and mortar locations. Pointy then will set up a Merchant Center account and create product feeds for you.
