Performics Hosts Second Annual Community Performance Day

Performics gathered 200+ volunteers to give back to communities around the country Performics held its second annual Community Performance Day on Friday, August 17. All agency members in the Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York offices devoted the day to bettering their community through various volunteer initiatives. “It is important for us as a company to not only give our best to clients, but to devote quality time and energy to our community through impactful initiatives,” said Daina Middleton, CEO of Performics. “Community Performance Day provides us with the chance to organize efforts for collective change and improvement across the neighborhoods in which we live and work.” In Chicago, Performics global headquarters, teams partnered for the second year with Chicago Cares to improve neighbourhoods and schools on the South side of the city. Employees spent the day painting murals, fixing playgrounds, planting gardens, and spending time with kids at Schmid Elementary, Hyde Park Neighbourhood Club, Washington Park, and the Victory Garden. CPD2012_CHI Performics also continued its partnership with Hands on Atlanta, which empowers homeless individuals in the greater Atlanta community to achieve economic independence and their ultimate potential to succeed in life. Employees helped prepare and serve meals at the organization’s Café 458 food kitchen. In Los Angeles, a Performics team worked at the LA Food Bank to collect and arrange donations; and in New York, employees participated in the Percy Sutton 5k in Harlem and a mural painting to revitalize the Brooklyn area, an effort coordinated by New York Cares. CPD2012_ATL CPD2012_LA CPD2012_NYC “Our employees around the country regularly contribute to the community as individuals, but the size and scope of a multi-city coordinated effort came together on Friday, which makes a lasting difference in both the lives of those being helped and our employees who participated,” added Middleton. “We look forward to continued involvement in our communities and are grateful to our sponsor organizations BrightEdge, Covario, Ion Interactive and Marin Software, who helped make Community Performance Day possible.”
